This is Tim Soutphommasane's last regular column....and bad news
He starts tomorrow as Race Discrimination Commissioner in the Australian Human Rights CommissionWhen Labor goes down on September 7 all the usual suspects will be generating excuses and explanations -- sexism, Murdoch, etc., -- which will give them something to do and, ideally, keep them too busy to do any further damage to the country.
But what to do with Tim the Race Hustler and many others, whose mates have buried them away in various gigs where they will continue to suck on the public teat while white-anting the Abbott government's efforts to repair six years of damage?
One solution: dismantle the sinecures from the bottom up. Cut their funds, throw the inbred leftist luvvies into the street and tell them to get real jobs. You know, the sort where they pay tax rather than suck up others' contributions to the alleged public good.
Start Aug 19th. Four weeks notice on Sept 9th. Finish up Oct 4th. Make it happen Tony.
ReplyDeleteAnd just how many of these "creative" appointments will be "unappointed" after September?
ReplyDeleteIf the past is any indicator, precious few.
There are so many of these Leftist parasites artfully planted across the bureaucracy, the judiciary and especially among the virtue and morality police, that their eradication will be a Herculean task. Cut one head off, and another pops up. Not only was Hercules up to the job, he also cleaned out the Augean stables. Go Abbott!
ReplyDeleteHercules had to divert a river to clean out the Augean stables. I'm not sure that is quite up Mr. Abbott's sleeve (yet). I sure wish it was, though.
DeleteTim has played all the race cards so well for so many years he should give lessons. In a way I admire him - in a 'well done Al Gore/Rainman Flannery, you've made squillions out of the punters' kind of way. Horrible comparison Tim, but there it is.

If I had my way I would scarp all the QUANGOS. This latest one is just another where people can tell me how bad I am in race relations. I worked for many years as a volunteer assisting new migrants, no racism on my part, just a desire to help. Now I would not lift a finger because I can see first hand how many values I hold are being labelled as racist. I really have no regrets about the families we assisted and still have contact with them however now such unpaid voluntary helping is written off. Tim does not have enough life experience to hold such a position, he is a product of the Left and therefore sees the world through the one left eye.

ReplyDeleteIt is worth reading the thread following Tim’s column. There are a surprising number of well thought through comments. Even Philosopher Tim would have difficulty pigeonholing his respondents as rednecks. I sense things are looking up and the skeptics are emerging from the muddied pools stamped by the PC brand jackboots. Even the ABC is coming on board. Just look at the recent interview of Kevin Rudd by the undeniably sexy Leigh Sales. She told him that she had to ‘zip through the interview' and rightly resisted his desire to talk about his new ‘seven pillars solution’. And guess what folks, we haven’t heard anything further about the seven pillars solution since then. Sadly, not all are on board. The ABC’s token pixie, Emma ‘ooh, I don’t want to talk about pipes Malcolm’ Alberici still has some way to go. The debate between Turnbull and Albanese she presided over was a farce and in the words of Bob Ellis: “She should have been immediately goaled”.
Folks, I don’t know whether any one else has noticed it but there is a subtle shift in the wind. The Age of Piousness is waning. Waes Hail!
Tim Soutphommasane was on ABCNews24 today opining that any lack of respect (to the standard he demands, I suppose), for any of our more exotically acquired brethren, constitutes racism; the man is a fool, of course: respect must earned, and is not something which comes by rights.
ReplyDeleteOr you could redefine the role of the Race Discrimination Commissioner.
ReplyDeleteThose one-hundred metre sprinters think they're sooooo much better than the three-legged race types.
And don't even get me started on the misogyny of the company picnic favouring the wheel-barrow race over the egg-and-spoon.
Haven't wheelbarrow races been banned for OH&S reasons?
DeleteBut they pay tax professor. Oh, sorry, I forgot, when you receive money from the government and give some of it back, purportedly as tax, it really isn't tax; just a game where Peter gives to Paul and then expects some of it back so he can give it back to Paul the following week, with a little more, and continue the pretense that taking some back is contributing to the salaries of other players.
ReplyDeleteWell let me be the first indigenous Aussie to complain how pissed off I am that the divine Doogue let this newcomer abuse Our Abc to spread his ignorant filth.
ReplyDeleteAnti discrimination commissioner for:
ReplyDeleteWomen..................A woman
Aborigines.............An aboriginal
Race...................A Thai/Korean.. etc.
get the trend: Whichever way the axe is always there to grind!
I know well a former conservative minister. We were talking about his success - or not - when he was in power.
ReplyDeleteHe showed me a list of seven aims he kept in his wallet. He had only achieved three. The others, he said, were still being white-anted by the public service, and he hoped wistfully to see them achieved before the next election.
He managed one more.
If we can't rid ourselves of this destructive PC ideology then at least impose a few rules for the person hearing a complaint. If the complaint is from a Muslim have a practicing Jew hear it [not one of the all too frequent internal self hating Jews]and vice-versa and so on down the list of aggrieved parties. Shouldn't take long for the complaints to die down. Kol tuv
