Family Matters
MOTHER Bunyip took a nasty turn the other day and is in the doctors' care. She should be back home in a day or two, but is neither happy nor comfortable in the meantime. Apologies for the trickle of posts, but family matters have left little time for pottering about at the keyboard. Back to normal soonish with a bit of luck.

Mate: Hope she's better soon.
ReplyDeleteMuch as any respite for the Gillard government and their partners-in-grime The Greens is to be abhorred, family comes first.
ReplyDeleteA swift recovery to Ma B., and we'll see you back soon.
Best wishes for you and your mother Bunyip. Hope she makes a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteI wish Mother Bunyip all that is good and hope she will be back at the Billabong soon.
ReplyDeleteProfessor,I hope your mother is soon well again because to me, mothers are the salt of the earth, to be treasured whilst they are still with us.
ReplyDeleteOn another tack, I must say I am fascinated by your love life and your (seemingly) ability to soldier on, taking on the chin what life dishes out to your good self.
More strength to your drinking arm, I say.
Anonymous, I suspect he deserves it. He is, I think, too wild and uncontrollable. A challenge, and women love a challenge, but a bit of a bad boy.
ReplyDelete? professor?
Professor, as stated above Family always comes first and as one, among many, who have pleasure of reading your work my best wishes for your mother's recovery.
ReplyDeleteI echo the above.
ReplyDeleteI add that young Bunyips are notoriously impish animals, keeping their mothers on edge for years: the wheel turns, and then the offspring care for their parents.
Prof, responsibilities and love sit well together. Take time for yourself too. Go, and come back when you are ready. xx Lizzie B.

ReplyDeleteAs most wish, good health to you and your family and may you be back online soon. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteHope Mother Bunyip is quickly back on her feet and throwing her weight around at the Billabong before you know it.

Ah, Professor, my mother passed long ago. I pray your mother mends soon and well and you have her with you for a long while yet.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a speedy recovery. Best wishes to your dear mother.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a swift recovery.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to the Lady.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, prayers and blessings for your mom's speedy and complete recovery, Professor.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good and dutiful Bunyip to be at her side. And don't worry about us, we can root around your archives for a fix of the Bunyip prose when the shakes and the cold sweat hit. All the best, friend.
Wishing Mother Bunyip a full and speedy convalescence.
ReplyDeleteBunyip, please come back, and eviscerate Jessica Irvine's spectacularly glib fatuities in today's silly about a "fat tax". Please.
