A Warming Thought For Carbon Day

AS SOON as the liars' collective now resident on the government benches is turfed out, the carbon tax will be repealed and the cost of fuel will go down. Then we can afford to have a little celebration, just like they did the old days:

UPDATE: AS you would expect from this gaggle of knavish incompetents, one of the first casualties of the carbon tax will  be .... eco-friendly electric cars.

A FOOTNOTE: Burning our PM at the stake is not offered as a serious suggestion. She is far too greasy a specimen to be safely incinerated anywhere near dry grass or wooden buildings.

  1. I'll happily be there Prof, singing...

" Put another log on the barbie,
Let's cook up some yabbie and some greens..."

  2. Prof you're a bit rough this morning. I'd settle for their pensions to be stripped of them. Actually just tossed out of office would be nice...

Hope you have a good weekend and try and relax a bit eh! :)

That's the point. The people who gave Victoria its desalination plant are still walking around as free men. Politicians in Australia are no where near nervous enough.
Democracy may have worked that much better when representatives who didn't follow a mandate were summarily treated with extreme prejudice.

  3. Well may we say save us from the CO2 Tax Tony...because nothing will save us from the ETS.

    Tony's dirty little secret.

    1. The zombies are so desperate to believe and Australia's disgust and anger with this thieving kakistocracy will somehow wilt and turn an electoral annihilation into a mild rebuke. Listen up, slimy vermin troll, you're going to hell with the rest of them. And with any luck your public service sinecure will be abolished.

Tony will save the punters from the CO2 Tax while complying with Goldman Sach's deepest desires, they want an ETS and they will get it ....under LabLib or LibLab, it matters not.....comrade.

  4. Well Prof, just ask how many retired defence people feel about the redhead just now. No matter what happens she will get a very generous pension. Retired service people and public servants received an increase this week of 0.01% on their pensions. Bring on the tumbrills.

She hasn't stuffed me around anywhere near as much as Menzies/Holt/Gorton/McMahon.
But then, I'm more fortunate than 521 others.
      Lest we forget....

    2. Aussie diggers have perished in Afghanistan during Gingerella's watch, no?

You are more fortunate, in that while you have breath in your lungs you still have time to heal and attain wisdom; otherwise I'd say no.

Numbers have you ever spared three minutes to consider what Rudyard Kipling was saying?

He is arguably the most quoted poet in all history, albeit one mere line; but the very warning of the poem is perfectly ignored.

    4. While I somewhat share your assessment of the relevant Liberal/Country Party Cabinet performances, 1735099, Miss Guillard's ilk supported fund-raising for those shooting at you, and deliberately impeded your support. It took a then-Leftist, Max Teichmann, to tell them that if they wanted to help their allies, they should enlist to serve beside them. [I don't think they did]. Those responsible have escaped accountability for those crimes. In any self-respecting society, there is usually one price for such treason. The unwillingness of the Cabinet to protect their personnel from attacks external and internal remains a serious stain on the Australian Government.

Numbers or Robert or what ever you prefer to be known as.
You were indeed a conscript but you did stick up your hand to be deployed.
Then as now you really are a horrible little man.

Prof, good fighting reveries like this are probably just what you need right now, so it's good to see you offering such a robust one. Getting back into the fray is the only response to those arrows of outrageous fortune aimed at you by an errant gang of wayward little cupids.

Everything is better after a good sleep. That's why I don't complain about HIA's snoring: I move into the next room pronto and am soon in the arms of Morpheus. And dear me, no, that is not our current visiting lodger. He is called Rodger (true!) and sleeps on the sofa in my very own study. He and Da Ape go around the place hailing each other with Pythonesque 'Welease Wodgers'. They are such children, really.

I do use Gab's mantra quite a bit: "This too will pass". It is calming and seems to help.

  8. Indeed, "Burning our PM at the stake is not offered as a serious suggestion".

How pathetic you have to say that, how pathetic that someone like, say, Judge Mordy might see it and want to fine you / make you apologise/ put you in gaol.

    Pathetic Australia.

  9. I would not like to see Juliar burned at the stake.

Too quick, and rather gauche in that puritanical protestant way.

Crucifixion now, it's classical, Roman-approved and has economic benefits.

TAB betting on how long the crucifixee lasts, office sweepstakes, ordure-throwing ticket auctions, and just think of how much the reality TV rights will rake in!

    And it's carbon-Neutral too!

    No down-side at all.

  10. That is bloody appalling.

No matter how much I loathe Gillard, the suggestion she should burn like an innocent 'witch' is totally repellent.

Sorry Professor, you have fallen from a high place in my estimation.

    1. Hang in Jannie, Labor wishes to criminalise "causing offence" you'll be able to launch a prosecution to salve your appallingness if they get in again.

Yes, hold on Jannie. You should learn to comprehend metaphor a little, and also comprehend how appalling many people find it that JG is their Prime Minister, a position they wish to respect.

I agree the Bunyip is using a confronting metaphor, but I understand that perhaps this level of impetus is of value to his feelings at this time. Do not let him fall in your estimation for this.

That burned witch was called Elizabeth and she was a blonde too. Hard indeed to watch, but I don't take it personally. :)

I've actually read quite extensively about the witchcraft trials of the early modern period, a bit of an interest of mine at one stage in my career. Such was the repressive tenre of the the times that many declared 'witches' actually believed themselves to be such and their mental agony too would have been great. No doubt too many died an agony of disbelief, resistance and hysterics as was depicted in the vid. We should learn from the past about repressive thought control in social systems, not introduce such things Pinky Finky style. Freedom to speak is hard won, and easily lost.

  12. Do the witch on the beach, any beach for that matter, problem solved with anything else catching light, just don't stand too close to avoid the spatter..... And I'll supply the marshmallows! Just saying, not suggesting.

  13. As long as she burns in a declared "Green" reserve/park, it would not matter if a few thousand hectares were sacrificed - it would be all for the common good.
