AUSTRALIA is the poorer today for the death at 103 of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, who not only gave Rupert to the world but donated many fine and enduring gifts to Melbourne. What a clean smell she leaves behind.

One of the better Elizabeths, Prof, even though a little bit of a warmenista in the latter years I believe. Hope I am still riding around a farm on a golf buggy in my nineties. A long way off, but I am a forward-looking girl with an eye to the future at all times. Dame Elizabeth set a fine pace for us all, I wot.
A selfless and great lady. Many can learn by her example.

ReplyDeleteThank you for telling us. A shame it has ended, her great life - a giant in her quietness.
