Thus do we now see the ABC approach to reporting the news reduced to its bare essentials: a partisan headline, an unflattering picture of a class enemy and a few entirely irrelevant words to justify the lot.
As a further economy measure, a photoshopped Ms Bishop has not been shown enjoying conjugal relations with a dog, despite such imagery being entirely "in line" with the broadcaster's "target audience".
