He Done Her Wong

PENNY Wong, serving minister and female, has been lumbered with second spot on Labor's just-finalised SA ticket. Worse she has been replaced by a man, the humble party powerbroker Don Farrell.

Gals just can't cop a break, not with the likes of Tony Abbott on the scene.

It is also believed that Farrell looked at his watch.

Surely Julia will not, WILL NOT be lectured on misogyny by that man Farrell, so there can only be one option.

On the plus side, Don, post-op you will have a new-found talent to sing much higher.....

  3. Ah, I see. It's not Abbott, Abbott, Abbott now.
    It's Farrell, Farrell, Farrell.

  4. Like Gillard, she will do whatever the backroom men tell her to do. Why look outside the party for sexism, when there is so much inside.

Yep, his watch said 'It's time'.

  7. "PENNY Wong, serving minister and female," : but you left out the bits that she is also of non white descent, lesbian and a new, if ersatz, mother! That is at least four strikes against. The only thing left out is the "whale" part. How soon will the SA Labor Branch be dissolved?

According to the Macquarie Dictionary (revised) it is.

    1. This criticism must stop; both Farrell's watch and the ticket are unisex.

  10. And, of course, we must question Tony Abbott's role in all this!

  11. Ah Julia, when you belt Farrell around the ears? Poetic justice.

  12. It's a set up. They'll overturn the vote and then say "look! We aren't really the political front for the unions and nothing else". Laurie will be talking about it for -years-.

  13. Tony Abbott's sexism influenced Farrell's thinking. There is no way back for the liberals...they are as guilty as that pudgey kid who ate all the pies.

  14. I agree Oakes...there is nothing more repulsive than some puffball lecturing mere mortals how to conduct their lives...

  15. Fair Go!
It's Farrell's last crack at the Golden Egg.
Labor may not have the second on the ticket elected for 30 years and the party does not want these bludgers sitting on their books. Wong's set for life, get Farrell's snout in the the public trough!

  16. Wikileaks revelations that Don Farrell was passing information to a foreign power:

Silly me, I always thought people went to prison for that sort of thing...
